Ferret Behavior

Ferrets spend 14 to 18 hours a day sleeping. Usually old ferrets sleep more. When not sleeping, ferrets love to play with people or with each other. These animals are social carnivores. They eat raw meat (chicken, rabbit, beef), mice or insects. Ferrets have a scent gland under the tail. They can spray like the skunk if they get frightened. Fortunately, ferrets' spray is not that bad.
